Educator Open House to Highlight One-Stop Shopping for

 Workbooks, Manipulatives, Decorations, Art Supplies & More

City, State (July 20, 2010) - Going back to school was never so fun - and easy - for the teachers in the Princeton area.  That’s because Barnes & Noble has created a special section just for them.  The new Barnes & Noble @ School section at the Princeton Barnes & Noble in the MarketFair Mall, features a vast selection of workbooks, flash cards, manipulatives, educational toys, puzzles, games, art supplies and decorations.

“We’ve expanded our product selection for educators with Barnes & Noble @ School, a special section that helps save them time and money by offering everything they need for the classroom in one convenient place,” said Debra Lampert-Rudman, Community Relations Manager of the Princeton store.  “Teachers normally run all over town to find everything they need for the classroom.  Now they can shop for everything in one section dedicated just for them.”

The new section offers an expanded workbook selection with subcategories of phonics, writing, spelling, vocabulary, reading comprehension and math; flash cards for every grade, including new touch-and-feel and lift-flap flash cards; educational manipulatives that help children learn through hands-on experience, such as stacking blocs, magnetic letters numbers and shapes; a huge selection of educational toys, puzzles and games that improve memory, matching and identifying skills, and reinforce learning through visual and tactile methods.

PreK-grade 12 educators are invited to attend the Barnes & Noble @ School Open House at the Princeton Barnes & Noble located at 3535 Route 1 South in the MarketFair Mall, on Thursday, August 26 from 2-6pm.  The event will feature an introduction to the section, a tour, refreshments, raffle prizes and the opportunity to shop with a 20% discount for educators presenting a valid Barnes & Noble Educator Discount Card.  Educators not yet signed up for the Educator Discount Program may obtain a card at the event.
